STEP - 04 | The Day!

If not Ava, if another women… 

Are you thinking Luke willing unfaithful on you?

Don’t you trust your love? Your marriage…?

Mia sat on the balcony. She remembered Zoe words last night.

Did I don’t believe Luke? Luke…

Our love, our marriage…

He always defends all of that…

He was always there…

Why I don’t believe him? Why don’t trust my love? Why I feel insecure?

“Arghh!!!” Mia screams. Tears flowed. She wiped her tears gently before get up and walks into her bedroom.

Mia steps stopped when saw Luke was staring right at her face. She turned away and sat on the edge of the bed.

“Where are you going? In this early morning?” Mia asked when notice Luke ready dressed.

“Have some work to do…” says Luke. He still looked at Mia face like knew something was not right with his wife.

“Mia…” Luke called softly but his gravelly voice sounds like quite firmly.

“I want grab some coffee, you want it?” Mia asked. She wanted to get away from Luke sharp gaze and her afraid if Luke noticed something. She did not want any fights between them at this time. She needs time…

“No, thanks” told Luke. He just look Mia that walks away leaving him.

“Don’t forget this night, we have dinner together” Luke reminds Mia who busy take something in the kitchen.

“Remember?” Luke asked when Mia still keeps silent. Mia looked at him and just nodded.

"I want to go now. Take care of yourself. You look gloomy today," Luke said and walked out. But he stopped suddenly and looked back to Mia.

 “If there is anything wrong, and you want to tell ... you know I'm always there, right?” Luke asked.

Mia raised her face, pale. She tries to smile. Stiff.

“Nothing maybe I’m just tired” told Mia. Luke just nodded before walks away.

Mia just watching Luke turned away from her and walked away. The atmosphere was quiet, Luke shadow also missing, without conscious her tears flowing.

“Is that my fault? He seems very upset. What should I do? I still love him, our marriage… I need him. I need his love more than he needs me… What should I do? Mia sobbed alone.

“Zoe!” Lex shouts.

“What!” Zoe shouts at him back.

“Emm, nothing…” told Lex.

“Lex!” Zoe shouts again and looks to Lex beside her.

“What? I'll just miss want call your name, is that wrong?” Lex pretends annoyed.

“Lex please, i try to concentrate right now, please…” says Zoe resentful.

“Concentrate? Honey, what is very interesting about this film? I don’t get it…” told Lex still nagging.

“Argh… Lex! Please!” Zoe threw a pillow in his hand. Quickly Lex brushed of the pillow.

Beeps…

Zoe and Lex looked at each phone.  They get a new message.

Preparations are almost complete.

Just a few small things only, don’t worry, I can manage it...

“Why you don’t look happy?” Lex asked when see Zoe just stare her phone.

“Who’s said that?” Zoe asked.

“Me…” says Lex and pointed a finger in his face.

“Why you said like that? Of course I’m happy for them” Zoe said and sighed.

“Look that face, are you sure honey?” Lex asked again and smile.

“I’m happy but how can I laugh when see Mia crying like last night? I feel uneasy right now. Should I'll be happy? Or should I’m sad?” told Zoe and leaned her head on Lex shoulder.

“Don’t worry honey. I think Luke can handle it. Believe me…” told Lex. He put his hand on her hair and stroked it.

“Well honey, I already told Luke he can take a holiday. I will manage and take care of the company until he was back. So, he should don’t worry about that, right?” told Lex while playing with Zoe hair.

“Seriously? You do that…?” Zoe going up and asked happily.

 “Of course I did” Lex said and smiles proudly.

”Oh dear, I’m so proud of you” Zoe give her compliment and kiss Lex cheeks.

“Of course you must…” Lex teased her.

“Arrogant Boy!” says Zoe.

“What!” Lex asked resentful.

“Nothing…” told Zoe and kiss his cheeks again.

“Okay, so that’s for what? What compliments you want give to me again?” Lex said happily then kiss Zoe forehead. Zoe just smiles happily.

They just keep silent a few minutes.

"Lex, I just want you to know I will be faithful by your side no matter what happens. Good or bad, I will try to accept it. I will remain at your side…”

“But, please ... please trust on me. No matter what will occur in our future."

"Can you do that, honey?" Zoe asked him. Lex just smiled and took Zoe's hand before gripping her fingers.

 “We will not know what will happen in the future. But I will promise to defend with all I have. I promise for those things. Thanks for coming in my life. Thanks because always being on my side. Thanks for everything… I’m grateful to have you as my wife. You are a prefect one for me…” Lex kisses Zoe hand than her forehead. Zoe tries to hold her tears.

Mia stood in front of the main door. Her heart was suddenly felt anxious. Her legs felt heavy to move. She looked around suspicious.

“What are you looking for?” Luke asked.

“Why are we here?” Mia looked at Luke face, still calm as usual.

“Sir, you have to go now, all guests already wait your presence” tell the boy who dressed white and black with a bow ties.

“Let’s go…” Luke lends a hand. Mia finally holds Luke hands and walked together. Her hand in Luke arms right now.

“Sorry, can you wait at me for a moment at here? I must greet them…” told Luke.

Mia looked around while waiting for Luke. This is not only a dinner.  It looked more like an event or party for her. Why Luke bring her here? She looked so confused right now.

“Mia, you also here?” someone greet her. Mia surprised when looks at him.

“Ryan, why are you here?” Mia asked. The situation now makes her confused.

"Luke told me to come. Where is he?" told Ryan and looked around.

“Luke?” Mia surprised. Why Luke ask Ryan to come here? Why she doesn’t know anything about this?

“Hi guys!” Zoe greets them happily. Lex was with her also smiling and greets them.

“Did Ava also in here? These looks have something I don’t know happen in here… ” Ryan asks to Zoe. He was also in a state of confusion now.

Suddenly all the lights turn off.

Guests of all that was busy chatting among them were silent.

Mia and Ryan looked confused.

“What’s going on guys?” Ryan asked.

Lex pulls Ryan's hand in order to sit at a table near them. Zoe also does the same things with Mia.

“What's happen?” them asking.

The lights on the stage suddenly lit.

All eyes focused towards it.

Someone was standing there.

She smiles to all of them.

“Thanks for coming. I’m and my family very appreciated it…”

“Maybe have some of you may still be wondering, why I invite you guys here, right?”

“I stand here to make a big confession of my life”

“Today I want you guys let know, who person is most meaningful in my life…” Ava smile again to them.

“Does she was drunk? What she actually wants to do right now?” Ryan asked. Ryan want stands up but Lex prevents him.

“Relax, please chill... hear what she wants to say…” persuade Lex.

Mia also uncomfortable with this situation but she can’t do anything. Her hands were held tightly by Zoe. Mia tries to pulls her hands but Zoe just pull back and smile. Behave!

“Today I want you guys know person is most meaningful in my life…

He so special to me, he is my inspiration who gave me life that I have been looking for …

He gave me the spirit and strength… “

“When I want to fall, when I was so tired, when I would give up with my life…

His someone who is willing struggling for me, willing to sacrifice anything for me…

He also wills to leave everything his have, just because of me…”

“But me Ava Sophie, who loves nagging, playful and stubborn…

“So tonight, special for him…” says Ava and go to the piano behind her.

Ava breathes out and starts with her performance.

I wanna be looking in your eyes

Sharing in everything you do…”

“Only you, the only one you…” Ava try to pulled she tears.

 “Ava…” Ryan was very touched with everything happen now.

“My beloved husband, Ryan…”

Thank you for everything you having done, thanks so much…” says Ava and all the lights in the hall were lighted again. Brightly

Someone pushing a trolley over to Ryan while Ava down towards them.

“Happy Birthday…” Ava whisper to Ryan and kiss him.

“Happy Birthday!” shouts all of them. The crowd whistled and applauded.

Ava wiping her tears but still smiles happily.

“Ava….”

“You are truly… truly the trouble maker” Ryan hugs Ava and helps her wiping tears.

“Thank you dear, for all of this…” whisper Ryan to Ava.

While they were laughing laughter, have fun. There is someone still grieving though she is still trying to smile.

“I’m wrong about Ava right? She truly loves Ryan heartily…

A beautiful couple, sweet and happily…

I almost ruined everything…” Mia said slowly but Zoe still can hear it.
Zoe holds her shoulder try to give her strengths.

 Ava asks someone to give her a microphone. Ryan looked at her strangely.

“There are more surprises dear?” Ryan asked. Ava just smiles back.

“This party not finished yet everybody!

Today is not just Ryan birthday but also my best friend special day…” the crowd was cheering when hears that.

Mia was surprised when it felt that someone was pulling her dress. When she looked up there was a little girl holding a bouquet of roses.

“Take it, it's for you...” told Zoe. Although hesitant, Mia took a bouquet of pink roses from the girl. When she tries to ask something the girls already run away from her. Mia looked towards Zoe who being bent to take a white rose from a little boy. She looked around. All those who were there were given a rose. They are smiling happily.

“Everyone has got a rose right?

It is a gift from my friend. As a promise he made with someone he loved.

The total number of roses that will be given now is of one thousand roses which have a particular meaning for this couple…” told Ava.

“One thousand roses?” Mia confused.

“Mia…” call Ava.

“Do you remember that promises?” Ava asked.  Mia is speechless seemed she remember about something now.

“Mia look at here. You know what it is? Allow me to read it…” Ava shows card in her hand before she open and read it.

Today, as the rain was pouring our hearts, with grace and miracles.

All that happened is already happen.

We will not be able to rotate past to correct everything.

But we still have time to correct our future.

I don’t care about your past,

The most important is the future.

Forget the past to find the meaning of happiness.

Mia cannot hold her tears anymore. She sobbed.
Ava and Zoe who try persuade her but at the end they also crying makes Lex and Ryan look each other and laugh. Oh my!Girls!

Why Luke could make such a solemn vow and keep it for a ten years?

Why he did not remember about the cards and their promises?

Why she doesn’t trust Luke?

 “Are you remember now?” Ava asked with her sad voice.

“Of course… how did you get that card? I'll keep that in my secret place... ” Mia still sobbing. Ava and Zoe hug Mia and cry together. All those become audience also sad with them.

"I chose pink roses, not only because you’re favorite color but because someone tells about the meaning behind the pink roses. Love, gratitude, appreciation”

All those at their stunned when see Luke walked into the hall with his pink suits.

Lex and Ryan almost want to laugh but they try to endure it.

Luke words make them more speechless.

But the crowd was cheering when hears that, some express impressed with the couple.

“Seventeen roses in your hands means you are my wife,

And twenty roses in my hand means,

 I'm sincere towards you, believe me…” says Luke still calm like always.

Today, after ten years we become husband and wife…

Thousand roses will fly around us…” Luke said while pressing something in his hand.

Mia was surprised. All those who were in the hall were also surprised when heard an explosion before see flying balloons in the air.

“There is a rose in a balloon!” shouted someone.

“Enjoy everyone! We have party tonight!” Ava shouts. Ava looked at Lisa and Adam who awaits her further instructions.

Music was played slowly before Lisa and Adam doing their jobs.  The presence of singer on the stage makes a tremendous cheer from the audience.

“Luke…” call Mia in tears.

“Why are you crying?” Luke asked and wiped Mia tears.

“Congratulations!” shouts Ava, Zoe, Lex and Ryan together.

“Do you all conspire on this?” Mia asks resentful.

“Not me. I also was deceived” told Ryan and looked at Ava who smiles back to him.

“Luke, what meaning this white rose?” Zoe asked try to change the topic.

“Innocence… just like you” told Luke.

“Me? Innocence, are you kidding me?” Zoe said jokingly.

“Yes, that suitable with you…” told Ava.

“No!” Zoe insists.

“Yes! Why you don’t believe it? Ask Lex, he must agree with us…” Ava said.

When the busy arguing. Luke holds Mia hands.

“Happy anniversary.  Thanks to say yes ten years ago and be my wife…” says Luke.

“Happy anniversary my love.  Thanks to be my husband. Thanks because keep your promise… ” Mia tears come again.

“Only this I was able to have prepared for you.

They help me so much, although sometimes very headache.

You know Ava and Zoe… always bickering, always arguing” told Luke

“Sorry…” Mia feels guilty.

“Sorry for what?” Luke asked.

Tonight is another wonderful story has been created.
All of them share the same excitement.
Every that hurt definitely will recover again.
Each of the fracture will definitely grow back.
Their faces laugh injuries yesterday closed the drapes.
May days will come more reassuring...
