“So sweet darling. For me? ask Zoe after reading the card. Elizabeth Browning poem handwriting in the card. One of her favorite poets.
“Yups. Of course for you, darling” said the young man who give the bouquet flower to Zoe.
“Thank you...” Zoe smiled happily and holding his hand.
“Do i forget something? Is today is important day?” Zoe tried to remind today's date. It seemed nothing special today. But why?
“Nope.” said the man and put Zoe hand to his arm before walk along the way.
“So, what meaning for all of this?” Zoe asked.
“That for my princess. Just for you. Is it wrong, your highness?” the man asked. And smiling at her.
Oh, that smile always makes my heart trembling. Whispered Zoe in her heart.
“Your highness? Princess? Oh please, is so weird okay to hear you said like that...” Zoe make annoy face.
“Why? For me you are my princess…”
“Princess in my heart!!!” shouted the man. All people at the beach look at them.
All eyes in there looking at them makes Zoe face reddening embarrassment.
“Jack, please. Everyone is looking at us right now!” said Zoe.
“You think i'll care about what they think about me? For me now is just about you. Apple of my eye. You everything for me..." smile him again. Zoe also smile back to him.
“Zoe! you are princess in my heart!!!” shouted him again.
“Jack!”
“Zoe!”
"Jack..." called Zoe slowly. Looked like she was whispering to herself but still can be heard by them.
“Zoe! Hellooo, are you there!" ask someone.
Zoe look them in a state of daze before realizes she at cafe now. Mia and Ava who just arrived looks at her with full all suspicious.
“Are you okay, dear?” Mia sit in front of Zoe. Ava takes sit side by Mia.
“Yeah, i'm okay but since when you guys already here?” Zoe try to hide something.
“When, you say Jack name…” said Mia slowly while leaning.
“What?” Zoe shocked. She thinks is only dreaming but she don't realize she say that name in reality.
“Are you still don’t forget about Jack, Zoe?” ask Ava.
“No! I'm not. Is not like what you guys think...” Zoe protest.
“So? Explain to us now. What is in your head right now?” They still stared sharply waiting for a response from Zoe who uncomfortable with that situation.
"The truth is, i saw Jack..." told Zoe honestly.
“What!” they were surprised to hear that and that not the answer they waiting for.
“Guys please, slow down your voice. You're bothering people here” said Zoe raged.
“Sorry, but that news is surprising me..." told Ava.
"Me too..." Mia interrupted.
“When did you meet him?” ask Ava with her stern face.
Ava never liked Jack. From their first meeting, Ava emphatically told Zoe that she did not like everything about that man.
“I did not meet him, i just saw him…” told Zoe firm, try to correct the sentences.
“Oh, i thought you meet him. So it's just a misunderstanding...” Mia sighed.
“You always misunderstand....” told Zoe to Mia.
“What?” Mia disgruntled.
“I'm telling the truth. You have always been misunderstand...” told Zoe again.
“No!” Mia denying.
“Yes!” Zoe affirm.
“Ladies! relax okay! we try to solve not to quarrel among us. Understood?” Ava try to control situation.
“Sorry..." said Mia and Zoe.
“Back to the story, Zoe. You just saw him. So, what the problem is?” Ava asked. Zoe sighed.
“It's not just that. He called me too...” Zoe told the truth.
Mia and Ava speechless and look each other.
“Why you look me like that? I'm not calling him. He phoned me up..."
"I'm also surprise guys..." Zoe sighed again.
“Girls!” she screamed her rage when both still silent.
“What he wants?” Mia asked curiously.
“He told you why he call?"
"Where does he get you number?"
"Does he know you're married?"
"Mia, too many question at a time. What you want me to do? Which one you want to hear first?" Zoe bit her lip.
"Chill's... Zoe, tell us what's really going on?" ask Ava.
Zoe took a deep breath before starting her story.
"At first, I saw him at the airport on the same day we arrived"
"I'm sure it's him..."
"Our eyes met, but he seemed not to recognize me. So, i thought maybe i was mistaken... Maybe he's not Jack..."
"After that, When i at Ava boutique"
"Are you remember, last time you ask me to get our dress?"
"I saw him there. Ryan also was there."
"They like discuss about something... But i'm not sure about what..."
"But they seemed know each other very well..." told Zoe.
"What?" Mia shocked. Since when?
"I don't know what i'm thinking at that day. I'm to shocked, at the same time i'm so afraid. I don't know what i should do..." Zoe shivering.
"Ryan? with Jack? No, i don't think so. He never knew who was Jack..." Ava also puzzled but clam up when he thought of something. Oh no! Don't tell me it's him!
"Never mind. You will know that sooner. That your boutique, isn't it?" told Zoe.
"Yeah, maybe. Was that the last time you saw him?" ask Ava.
"Yeah, but when i at Lex office on that day..."says Zoe.
"What! You met Jack at Lex office? Are you mad?" Mia could not believe that.
"Mia, Let's Zoe finish her words..." sigh Ava. Mia smiled embarrassed and apologized.
"We did not met. Okay!"
"They have internal meeting on that day. So I'm just waiting for Lex in his room to lunch together"
"Like usual if have meeting Lex just leave is phone. Suddenly his phone rang. First ringing, I just leave it be. But when the second ringing, I just thought maybe they have emergency things. So, without hesitation I just picked up the call..."
"And... his Jack right? Jack call him..." Ava guess.
"I heard his voice. I still remember, it sounds like him..." tell Zoe.
"Are you sure is him?" ask Mia.
"I..i, don't know. It is impossible for him to return, right?" ask Zoe for certainty. She very hope they also agree with it. But Mia looked speechless and Ava just keep silent and look down.
"Ava please told me. Is not him, right?"
"Ava, please... you look like know something. Please tell me Ava..." Zoe really hope Ava will tell what she wants to hear.
Ava just keep silent and sigh.
